More specifically consider the business model of network marketing or affiliate marketing like SFI!
They have been around for over 20 years now and are still going strong.
Direct sales has changed from what it used to be in the past.
Now most of it is done on the Internet or with a smartphone. Very little face to face selling is done.
So has multi-level marketing or network marketing as it’s called today. These used to be easy home businesses to start in the past, but they had a very high failure rate for most people.
It really took a lot of work to generate customers and sponsor new distributors when everything had to be done face to face. Today that is not the case.
Most of your recruiting is done with a landing page and follow up by email. No standing in front of a chalk board or sitting at a kitchen table explaining your business opportunity.
You can join most network marketing business opportunities for less than a couple hundred dollars. In some instances it could cost you more depending on the opportunity and the product line in it. Many MLM programs have various levels you can come into the business at as well so that can affect your startup price.
You can start your home business right on the Internet by completing the application and paying your initial fee. Once you’ve done this you are in business for yourself and you’re ready to start making money.
So what is a good network marketing home business?
Of course there are the established companies such as Amway, Avon, Mary Kay and Herbalife. Go to DirectSelling411.com to find a complete list of MLM companies listed by product category.
One website I found that offers interesting information on direct selling and MLM companies is Business For Home, http://www.businessforhome.org/ Ted Nuyten started this website in 2007 and has built up a fascinating amount of news, poll, and other information on the network marketing industry. The offer a paid subscription that over 3500 network marketers currently subscribe to.
Internet Home Business
When I say it is easier it does take skills to use the Internet to build a home business. It is not rocket science and anyone with average smarts can do it.
You get this knowledge from learning and implementing what you do and this takes work and practice on your part. However, it’s easier because you can do this from the comfort of your own home, or anywhere you have Internet connection.
So is Cost Per Action affiliate marketing. Offer Vault is a good place for information on CPA opportunities.
Actually any type of affiliate marketing can be run as a business. Build information websites and make money by the click with the Google Adsense model.
This is one of the easiest home business to start because you do not need a product and anything that goes along with that. The hard part of information sites is to get enough information on them to start ranking on Google and getting people to your site.
This easy home business to start idea is great for people who want to start a blog and have a passion for what they are writing about. Once you get that Google Adsense codes in place Google will sell the ads and make them appear on your blog.
When someone clicks on an ad you earn money. Google says they pay out 68% of each click billed back to the publisher. How much that is depends on your niche and how much Google is billing the advertiser.
If you think you want to learn about building an authority blog and monetizing it with Adsense ads I suggest checking out Chris Lee’s article Do You Have To Be An Expert In Your Niche To Build An Authority Site? . You will find many other great articles on making money with Adsense. He offers eail information on Get To $100/Day With Adsense which is great as well!
Physical or Digital?
Selling digital products requires no shipping and interested prospects will buy this information because they get instant access. Sleeing physicla products gets you a billion dollar industry that is very competitive, but offers an unlimted number of products you can access to make money.
Drop Shipping is another business you can start at home and I suggest reading more about that here. People also sell stuff they have on ebay, Craigslist, and in an Amazon Fullfillment center. DS Domination offers an interesting take on this video.
You can even run this sort of business on your smartphone or laptop anywhere in the world as long as you have an Internet connection. Here is a good article on Forbes about running a business with a smartphone.
The hard part will developing the skills it takes to generate traffic to your website. You then need to convert some of that traffic into customers and new members you can work with in your new business opportunity.
You will have a learning curve in terms of understanding the product line as well as the business opportunity. It’s also extremely important that you understand the compensation plan and can easily explain that to any prospect who would contact you.
Once you have the basics down the majority of your time is going to be spent driving traffic to your website. The great thing about acquiring these skills is you can use them to do any type of Internet marketing future.
This is why you see so many Internet marketers today involved in multiple streams of income. They’re running their business from their home, but they’re using business models such as email marketing, affiliate marketing, and network marketing to easily start more home businesses!
If you are not sure where to start do what I did in 2002. Join SFI for free, take their Internet income course and upgrade to a paid International Home Business Entrepreneur membership. You can sell these and earn around $7 a month in residual income as well.
